To promote health and well being in our communities, Quantum Events and principle partner State have an exciting six-event ocean swim series on offer this summer. With five years' proven event success this series is founded with pride, an excellent reputation and a promise to deliver first-class events.

With the aim of promoting fitness and health through swimming and ocean swimming, each of the six exciting events around New Zealand host four achievable distances on the day* - thus presenting a range of goals suitable for most ages and abilities. For some, it could be to swim in the sea for the first time or for others, to go all out to be an age-group series winner!

But why swimming? Everyone can walk or jog, why have we presented a new challenge? New Zealand has some of the most beautiful beachfronts and waterfronts in the world and we want to encourage everyone to take advantage of our greatest natural resource. Unfortunately, New Zealand also has a poor water-safety record - given most towns and cities are situated on or near water, it is important that we are encouraged to understand and enjoy this beautiful natural resource.
