Posted on 30/01/2009 at 22:26Thanks ..managed to do Takapuna swim in warehouse suit...am in south Island West Coast and will try to hire a suit from Ch Ch for Corsair Bay ...anybody know of place to hire suit in Ch Ch ? |
wet suit problem

Posted on 19/12/2008 at 11:05Have done 3 ocean swims and got use to wet suit swimming . But every time I have finished swim with lacerations to back and side of neck area....pretty frustrating . What am I doing wrong ?... Any advice thanks,,,, |

Posted on 29/01/2009 at 07:56Well, I guess it would be personal preference, but, generally, you will find that warehouse wetsuits are not really swimming wetsuits, and you may find it restricting. Better to go with either an Orca or Blue Seventy wetsuit. See if you cant maybe pop into Swim T3 in Mount Eden. |

Posted on 27/01/2009 at 22:14thank you Brenac and I will give this a go. I have swam in "proper" hire wet suit and know have a warehouse short sleev/leg suit ...is there a graet difference in these in an Ocean Swim ? Ta Pluto |

Posted on 16/01/2009 at 07:44Hey mate, you need to use some body glide. Best thing ever. Put it on before you go for the swim, so, where you usually get rubbed on your back, back of the neck and side of the neck. It works wonders! You can get body glide from some sports shops, or swim shops. |
